Setting a temperature limit is crucial for receiving alarms and notifications. Setting temperature limits tell the software that if the device reads any temperature data outside of the temperature limit range, an alarm should be sent to you via SMS or/and email.
You can set the temperature limit of a device in two ways:
- When setting up the device for the first time.
- On the device settings page.
When setting up the device for the first time
When you add a device, the steps require that you configure its settings for first use.
You will be prompted to set values for the parameter after you have entered the device’s IMEI.
When you are done setting up the device by providing all information required, click on Save at the bottom of the page
On the device settings page
You can adjust the device temperature limits after setting up for the first time. To do so;
Step 1: Navigate to the Devices page on the left-side menu bar.
Step 2: The list of all your previously added devices will be displayed on the Devices page. From the list of devices, select the device you want to edit its details.
Step 3: On the Device Details page, click on the Settings option to see the device settings.
Step 4: Here you can set values for the temperature range – which include the Maximum temperature limit and the Minimum temperature limit. Click on Save at the bottom of the page, to save your edit.
